Well, he is my kid.
Shoe shopping for Jackson is challenging.. mostly because nothing will fit on his big, fat foot. So, at the recommendation of many friends, we took him to get measured properly for shoes. We found ourselves at the Children's Shoe Company right down the street and it was an endevour. For whatever reason, Jackson hated having his feet measured and he hated trying on shoes. He cried the entire time and during the breaks when he could run around, was laughing and happy... but, when you try to put a shoe on, geesh!
Anyway, Jackson was measured as wearing size 5.5, double wide. Yes, XXW as it is described. Which is wonderful to know, however means we have the choice between two different sizes of the same shoe! Literally, Stride Rite only offers this size in one option right now... which we bought in 5.5 and 6 since they were buy one, get one half-off.
Here's Jack's shoes.
Horrifyingly, these tiny, little shoes cost $50!! So, all together an $80 bill! I keep reminding myself that his little feet bones are still growing and are flexible and we can do some real damage with shoes that don't fit properly... and, I've been told that Stride Rite are the absolute best for kids... but, really $50 a piece?
