We are not much for going all out for Easter, but this year we had a really nice weekend.
We had planned to attend the city-wide Easter egg hunt, but unfortunately, it was cancelled because of our tornadoes that hit on Good Friday. We still took Jack to the park and discovered a great playground!! Siegal Park is wonderful! There was a slide big enough for Daddy to slide down, which Jack thought was hilarious (I was not allowed to take a picture of that).
Here is one of Jack playing.
Saturday after the park, we dyed Easter eggs... this was an event! Jackson liked the colors, but he wasn't very gentle when he put the eggs in their colors. His favorite part was the stickers that came with the kit.
Easter morning, Jackson had a great time searching the house for eggs and he enjoyed his basket of goodies. Here's Jack showing off his loot.
Easter afternoon, we went to the zoo. It was a perfect, beautiful day and we all enjoyed it. The Nashville Zoo is huge, with lots of open areas for future expansion.
Here is Jack and I in the indoor exhibit of reptiles, amphibians, fish and insects. Here, we have a eye-to-eye view of an alligator turtle.
Jack asked about the giraffes the entire time we were there and we saw them near to the end of the day... one was so close, we were all enthralled and didn't even get a picture. Besides the giraffes, Jackson's favorite part was pushing his stroller... we did get a pic of that.
We bought a membership to the zoo, so will hopefully be going fairly frequently this year... every time we go, Jack seems to get more out of it and enjoys it a lot.
