With Mary Grace deciding to arrive on Christmas Eve... needless to say, our Christmas plans were impacted, lol. Spending Christmas at the hospital is not how I necessarily would have chosen to spend the day, but it wasn't all that bad. Mary Grace and I were there for three nights, so we came home on Sunday. Because Jackson is home from daycare on Tuesdays, we set Monday the 28th at our belated Christmas Eve.
I'm very thankful Jackson is 2 and time is a bit of a far out concept for him, lol. Our fakery didn't phase him a bit!
"Christmas Eve" we did all the fun stuff we would normally do. Auntie Jamee came over for dinner and we made a special big breakfast for our holiday meal.

We baked cookies for Santa and wore special Christmas pjs. After Jack went to bed, Dad made the last minute trip to Walmart and went through a ritual of Dad-ness by brining down presents and beginning to put together the big "Santa" present - a train table and train set - at 11 p.m. I went to bed!

"Christmas" morning, would you believe we had a hard time convincing Jack to go downstairs!? Once Jon carried him down, though, it was all she wrote. The train table is a HUGE hit... to the point that we had to distract him from the table just to open his other presents!

Jackson's Godmom/Auntie Crystal sent him this guitar (thanks, Crystal... we owe you one). Here is a video of Jackson performing:
Jon missed his calling... I think he should look into doing infomercials :) Note his Sham-Wow pose!

And, since this is officially Mary Grace's first Christmas, she got a present, too. Her doll is bigger than she is!

The rest of the day, we spent relaxing for the most part... the only non-Christmas part of the day
was we had to take Mary Grace to the doctor for her newborn visit (which went well ;). We ended the day with a big Christmas dinner of ham and all the fixin's... so, even if it was 3 days late, it sure felt like Christmas!
