There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk.

- Drew Barrymore

My baby is 3!! I just can't believe it!! Okay, now that's out of the way... lol, seriously, where did the last three years go?

To celebrate Jackson's 3rd birthday, we pulled together a Sesame Street party at the park, complete with Ernie cake, Elmo hats, playground, and hot dogs. We had planned for some games, but we just never had to get them going, the kids had so much fun playing without them.

We reserved the large pavilion at the newish Cason Lane Trailhead. It was perfect! Plenty of space and right next to the awesome playground.

The best present - well, at least for me - was Uncle Toby joining us for the party. It was great to have him visit us for the special occasion. Uncle Toby was a big help with set-up, too!

Jackson had a great time with his friends!

Here is Jack playing with his friend, Aiden, from school.

I love this one cause they're both checking out those hats, lol!

Jackson and his friends waiting for grub!!

Cake time!! Special thanks to Brooke for making us fabulous cake! (Check out Cakes by Brooke on Facebook)

Blowing out the candles...

Of course Mary Grace was there!! Here's a pic with MG and her Auntie Jamee.

And, here's a picture of all the sorority sisters with new babies. It's been contagious this year :)

Suzi and Xander, me and Mary Grace, and Christy and Evelyn.

We decided not to open Jackson's presents at the park, and it was the best idea... we did this at home. Jackson got a ton of really awesome gifts and was SO excited - as seen by his crazy grin over and over again.

Thank you to all our friends and loved ones for coming out to help us celebrate Jackson's birthday!! Special thanks to Uncle Toby who wins the distance traveled award!!

Looks like you had a great time. I love the idea of not opening the presents at the party. Presents always take the focus away from "We're having fun together" to "stuff, stuff, stuff!!!". I'll have to follow your lead. He looks so happy!
