There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk.

February 6 is Jackson's 100th day of kindergarten. This is a big deal since they have been keeping count every day and 100 is seen as quite a milestone. I wonder if the kids think it's the last day?

For the big day, Jackson was sent home with a baggie and instructions to fill it with exactly 100 small things. He couldn't use paperclips, since that was Ms. Kohout's example. And, he couldn't use the other examples provided in class, like jelly beans.

We brainstormed Kix cereals, gummy bears, rice, but then settled on beans :)  So, tonight, Jackson counted out 100 beans ...

when he got to 100, he was absolutely thrilled!

Kindergarten, like everything else it seems, is flying by.
