Right after we got back from vacation in May, Jackson transitioned from the baby room to the one-year-old room at daycare.
It was a bit of a transition.. for all of us. In the new room, Jack is the youngest and everyone is running around. They have a schedule and and structured activities. The first couple of weeks were rough. I think he was exausted from vacation and a bit overwhelmed. But, now he's good to go. He's not the youngest anymore and he is taking much better naps than he was in the baby room - dimmed lights and everyone laying down at the same time helps with that.
My personal favorite thing about the new room is that Jack brings home art projects ALL the time. Sometimes, they are very basic where he "colors" with a marker or crayon and it's titled "Dolphin Colors" for grey or "Turtle Colors" for green and brown. Sometimes its collages where he glues construction paper shapes or sometimes its a real work of art.
My favorite so far is "Snow Covered Mountains":
I also love Hotdog:

We no longer get a sheet everyday that tells us about his day, which is a challenge. I miss the sheets. But, every day a "door note" is up explaining what everyone did that day. And, a couple times a week, we get "Smiley-Grams" that are specific to Jack. So far, we've gathered he really likes to read books because nearly every one of his smiley-grams mentions that.

I think Jack's liking the new room. He comes home a lot dirtier and more tired... so, that must mean he has a good time.
