There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk.

- Drew Barrymore

We were lucky enough this past week to have a visit from some of our best friends, Jen, Clyde, and their son, Aedan.

Jenny had a conference in Nashville and they used it as an excuse for the whole family to travel up to Music City and hang out with us some, too. They arrived Saturday afternoon, but the conference started early Sunday, so they finished the trip up to the city and checked in their hotel. Sunday, Clyde and Aedan came over to watch football, and made the trip down again on Monday and Tuesday to hang out with Jon and the kiddos.

Monday, they went to the Discovery Center (we renewed our membership) and on Wednesday, they hit the Jack Daniel's Distillery tour in Lynchburg.

Jen and I didn't get to join the fun until Wednesday afternoon... work will do that. Wednesday, we had a great steak dinner and enjoyed gourmet cupcakes from The Cupcake Collection thanks to Jen and Clyde... my favorite? Strawberry Lemonade... to die for!

Thursday, we celebrated Veterans' Day at the zoo! Sadly, these were the only pictures I got of the whole week.

Here's Aedan and Jackson checking out the monkey.

And, Jon and Clyde checking out the giraffe.

A good one of Jackson and Fish.

Better than the animals was the Jungle Gym. We've never really spent time there before and I'm glad we checked it out this time. They play area is impressive! Huge and lots of fun - though, watch out for places to knock your head.

There is also a soft play area for little kids. Mary Grace enjoys it, but OMG, so did Jon, Aedan, and Jackson, too!

MG and Daddy playing.

Jon getting ready to attack...

Down goes Frazier!

The last shots we got were some good ones on the CROCODILES.

Jen, Clyde, and Aedan had to head towards home Friday morning. It was great hanging out with them and hope we get to again, soon :)
