There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk.

Moving during October is just plain bad timing. But, we're trying to work in some of our (read my) favorite fall activities. We made it to Hollins Farm for our annual pumpkin-patching :) And, Uncle Toby and Uncle Andy came with us.

The day was cool and kind of overcast, but the farm was absolutely gorgeous. It ended up being about 45 minutes west of where we're staying, so we got some great views of the mountains. And, the fall colors weren't half bad, either.

Here are some pics of the pumpkin patch.

They also had some winter greens and vegetables available. Toby picked and bought lettuce :) They also had turnips, radishes, and a bunch of other lettuces... I'd never been to a farm where that kind of stuff was available. Jon and I just took a pic of ourselves in front of the pretty flowers :)

More photo ops :)

And, one last one of the kids in the bounce house. Mary Grace wasn't too impressed, lol.

We picked out two pumpkins and carved them that evening... Here's Jack scooping out some guts.

And, our masterpieces!

Hooray for pumpkins!!
