We had a very nice Thanksgiving this year. Since moving to Tennessee, we've gone to Louisville to Jon's Aunt Becky's house for Thanksgiving - which, has been wonderful... great to be with some family to celebrate the day and very nice to not have to cook! However, this year, being super pregnant and not looking forward to a long drive, we decided early on we'd be home this year.
In keeping with tradition, Jon's Dad and step-mom drove up and this year, Jon's step-sister, Pam, brother Ben and his girlfriend, Ashley also made the trip.
We had a fairly relaxing weekend and didn't do a whole lot more than cook Thanksgiving dinner - fabulous, if I do say so myself - and, hang around the house.
The highlight was probably leaving Jackson home on Black Friday and going out with Jon for a little shopping... keeping in mind that Jon's worked retail his entire adult life, this was his first Black Friday experience as a shopper and not a worker :) He did drive out to Toys R Us at midnight trying to get a deal; however, when he saw the parking lot filled to the brim and the line already reaching behind the building, he came home. Can't blame him. We did get out that way in the morning... a reasonable 9-ish... and, braved the crowds. It was a bit disappointing in that we only found one of the fab deals we were in search of.. but, that's the way it goes, right? Apparently, we're not hardcore like some folks :)
Anyway, here are a few pictures from the weekend. Jackson loved having his family visit :) He especially took to his Auntie Pam, who he now regularly talks to on his cell phone, lol.

The ribbon hair came from an enormous basket of baby gifts - and, pjs for Jack - that we received... everyone enjoyed :) And, below is a pic of Jackson preparing to help me open our baby basket. Absolutely filled to the brim with super, super cute stuff! Thanks Dennis, Sandy, and Pam!! This little girl is SET!

And, now on to Christmas!
