There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk.

Easter snuck up on me this year... we were scrambling a little bit to ensure the Easter Bunny had a welcoming place to visit, but once we got going, it turned out to be a very nice mini celebration.

The kids got off to a good start with their parties at school... Unfortunately, we didn't know they were supposed to dress nicely, so when they showed up in their normal attire - and, Jackson without his chips and dip for the party - Dad had to head back out to grab the party requirements. It worked out well, though, cause he stuck around for the party and got some great pics.

The most hysterical part of this whole thing was when Jon got back with the nice clothes, Jack was so excited when he went into the bathroom to change, the threw his clothes down... right into the toilet! I got the text at work and nearly cried laughing.

Here are the kiddos outside with their eggs.

Little miss hunting.

Mary Grace wouldn't have anything to do with the Easter Bunny, but Jack was willing... note his shirt is wet with toilet water, lol.

The night before Easter, we enjoyed ourselves dying some eggs. Jackson has become an old pro, but this was Mary Grace's first time really participating. They liked the stickers best!

Easter morning, the kids were happy to find the Easter Bunny's goodies. Jackson loved his tinker toys.

And, Mary Grace enjoyed her new princess plates and spoons and her Minnie Mouse place mat.

Then, off to find the eggs!

After our hunt, we went outside to play with bubbles... Mary Grace wasn't a fan at first because when she tried to make bubbles, she put the entire bubble wand in her mouth...

Jack had to show her how to blow bubbles.
