Jack begins his 17th week today... time does fly as fast as people warn you!
We've had a good week. He's doing great at daycare and his teacher's love him. He's usually smiley and happy and alot of fun. Today, he was a bit of a butt but, that's usual.
This is what our email said about his development today:
Your New Baby
The best exercises for Jackson Edward right now are those that practice sitting and standing. Encouraging him to sit while assisted for longer periods of time strengthens his back and stomach muscles, and standing with support strengthens his leg muscles. Before you know it Jackson Edward will be scooting all over the house.
Did Jackson Edward stay on a good growth curve this month? Most babies follow a nice arc on the growth chart, but you might notice a slight dip one month. Babies have growth spurts at different times which can affect the shape of their curve on the chart. If you are concerned about how Jackson Edward is growing, be sure to mention it to your doctor at your next visit.

Your little one is now able to accurately track objects with his eyes and grasp them with both hands. His eyes are still maturing so his depth perception will continue to improve and his vision will become clearer.
It is increasingly easy for Jackson Edward to turn toward a voice when someone speaks as his ability to prop himself up on his arms improves.
We've been helping him sit up more and more and he is getting much more stable doing it. I have no idea about this growth carts since he hasn't had a doctor's appointment in a while but, we have one coming up the beginning of September. He looks big, at least!
