There's something liberating about not pretending. Dare to embarrass yourself. Risk.

We got the first call yesterday... around noon, daycare called to tell us Jack had a fever and we needed to come get him. Now, I've been totally expecting this call... he's been in daycare for a month already and honestly, I thought it would have come by now. But, despite knowing it would come, boy does it put you in a tizzy the first time.

I said, okay, we'll be there. Then, called Jon. He answered, "I just got the call." I asked, "Can you go, or do I need to?" He called his ex-boss (it was supposed to be his last day in his old store) and got the okay not to go in. So, Jon picked him up and I called the pediatrician for an appointment. LOL, we operate like a well-oiled machine!

Jack went to his appointment and he has an infection, either an ear or sinus and they prescribed an antibiotic. He stayed home with Dad today (who was off anyway) and he's already feeling better, though he still has a bit of a cough. I think Jon's ready to go back to work tomorrow, lol.

So, Jack's okay, you can see he's resting. And, so are Mom and Dad!
